En tant que l'un des auteurs-compositeurs / interprètes de musique country les plus populaires des 40 dernières années, Dwight Yoakam est considéré comme l'un des artistes qui ont ramené la musique country au goût du jour au milieu des années 80.

Au cours de ce spectacle, nous rendrons hommage à la musique de Yoakam et à son héritage durable, ainsi qu'à ceux de plusieurs de ses contemporains et de quelques artistes qui ont été influencés par la légende qu'est Dwight Yoakam.

As one of Country music's most popular singer/songwriters of the last 40 years, Dwight Yoakam is credited with being one of the artists who brought Country music back to mainstream popularity in the mid-80s.

Over the course of this show, we will pay hommage to Yoakam's music and his enduring legacy, along with those of many of his contemporaries and a few artists who were influenced by the legend that is Dwight Yoakam.

Marc Côté

Marc Côté personnifie la versatilité. Musicien accompli ayant plus de 45 ans d’expérience dans le monde du spectacle, il joue plusieurs instruments et est un chanteur de talent. Peut-être est-ce ses multiples années en tournée à travers le Canada qui ont fait de la scène sa 2e demeure et il est totalement dans son élément en spectacle. Dès 1986, Marc découvre le son de la musique New Country avec Dwight Yoakam et l'énorme succès Guitars Cadillacs, qui redéfinit le son de la Country. De nombreuses nouvelles chansons viennent s'ajouter à un répertoire déjà vaste pour tirer parti de ce nouveau style musical passionnant. Marc peut se vanter d’avoir été la vedette de deux chansons et vidéos à succès en plus d’avoir écrit, interpréter ou produit plusieurs CD. Aussi il est l'un des gagnants du concours Québecois Pop Express. Il est natif de Montréal. 
 
Marc Côté personifies versatility. He is an accomplished musician who plays several instruments as well as being a talented singer with an impressive vocal range and 45+ years of on-stage experience. Thanks to the many years spent touring and "paying his dues", Marc is at home on stage and is happiest when performing. As early as 1986, Marc discovered the sound of New Country music in the form of Dwight Yoakam and his huge hit Guitars Cadillacs, which redefined the sound of Country. Many new songs were added to an already large repertoire to take advantage of this new and exciting style of music. Marc was the winner of the Quebec-based band contest Pop Express, and has had two top 40 radio and video hits and has written, performed or produced several CDs. He is a native Montrealer.

Kent Kataoka

Multi-instrumentiste, Kent Kataoka a joué avec divers artistes, principalement comme guitariste, depuis son arrivée au Canada en provenance du Japon en 2013. Parmi ces artistes, on compte Clerel, Po Lazarus, Mike McKenna Jr. et bien d'autres. De plus, ses talents de multi-instrumentiste lui ont été précieux lors de nombreuses séances d'enregistrement, ayant collaboré avec de nombreux talents de l'industrie, comme l'ingénieur du son Mark Vreeken (producteur de Tragically Hip, Leonard Cohen) pour Po Lazarus, et Howard Bilarman (ingénieur du son en chef du studio Hotel de Tango, qui a travaillé avec Arcade Fire et The Barr Brothers) pour Neil Holyoak. Kent apporte sur scène une connaissance approfondie et un sens authentique de la musique country en tant que guitariste et joueur de pedal steel pour le spectacle Dwight Yoakam & Friends.
 
  As a multi-instrumentalist, Kent Kataoka has played with various artists, predominantly as a guitarist, since having moved to Canada from Japan in 2013. The artists include Clerel, Po Lazarus, Mike McKenna Jr. and many others. In addition, his multi-instrumentalist skills have been of great use during a variety of recording sessions, having worked with many talented industry names such as sound engineer Mark Vreeken (producer of Tragically Hip, Leonard Cohen) for Po Lazarus, and Howard Bilarman (chief engineer producer at Hotel de Tango studio who worked with Arcade Fire, The Barr Brothers) for Neil Holyoak. Kent brings to the stage deep knowledge and an authentic feel for Country music as the guitarist and pedal steel player for the Dwight Yoakam & Friends show.
